Hey Scott,
I've been meaning to write you.

  1. Casa de Italia was EXCELLENT! A superb recommendation. They introduced to our new favorite wine. We bought 2 bottles of it once we got to Friday Harbor to enjoy for the rest of our trip.
  2. Tryouts went well. Athlete had trouble walking fast on Monday (sore and tired), but had a great time. So he put out all he could do without getting hurt, and was smiling at the end of each day. So a very successful venture there.
  3. Bike did great. We had a couple of real nice rides (see attached). We also had a very cold ride in Burlington, determined the gear we brought (mainly our gloves) were inadequate and had to bail. It worked out anyway, as the timing worked well for us getting back to the tryouts for their lunch break. Of the two photos, the one with Mary is identical (almost) to one I took 22 years ago with our old ("Big Red") tandem. Riding out to the American Camp brought back alot of memories.
  4. We'll see what happens on the ultimate front - if he makes the team, we'll go to Ireland. If not, we'll probably be back to Seattle in August.

Thanks,
Rich
