Seattle Bike and Pike
February 24th, 2018

To be held at R+E Cycles
5627 University Way NE, Seattle
Saturday, February 24th 10am - 5pm

Admission is FREE!

Come join us for corn dogs, coffee, beer, bicycles, and a chance to converse one-on-one with some of The Northwest's cycling gurus at The Seattle Bike and Pike Expo of 2018.

That's Right!
I said Corn Dogs!

We'll have Tofu and Regular

At R+E Cycles, we love Seattle, and the small companies that actually produce their products here. In October 2008, I asked our friends Charles and Rose Ann at Pike Brewing Company in Downtown Seattle if they would like to put on an event here in Seattle with other Seattle based entrepreneurs (and personalities) and they were just as excited about it as we were.

Space Needle Graphic

The flavor of Seattle Small Business is unique, and sometimes gets diluted when an event gets overwhelmed with big firms that have unlimited advertising budgets. We thought it would be great to put on a smaller event that showcased unique Seattle companies and their products, while at the same time raise money for a local charity.

Over the last eight years, the Bike and Pike has been a great success! We've raised over $36,769 for Food Lifeline here in Seattle, and had lots of fun doing it. That's almost 150,000 meals!

Want to go to an event this February that's bicycle oriented and highly focused on Seattle based companies? The 2018 Seattle Bike and Pike Expo is for you! Here's some of what's lined up:

Silent Online Auction to benefit Food Lifeline

Come visit Katherine (Telaio is a one woman shop), and find out more about this unique, and wonderful custom product from Seattle. Also, remember to bid on a new pair of wool pants that Telaio was generous enough to donate for the charity auction.

The good folks at RunawayBike.com here in Seattle have donated a full selection of their awesome bike products they make right here in our fine city!

Bob and Doug are the brothers behind Runaway Bike Industries. Born and raised in Chicago, they are uniting with all the fury of a Midwestern thunderstorm to take on the world of bike maintenance products!

All of their products are hand-crafted in Seattle, WA. If you're a local bike shop, all orders will be hand-delivered by Bob or Doug from their Wallingford headquarters.

Doug is the family bike commuter, previously riding each morning through Chicago winters and increasing his distances to 100-mile rides in the milder seasons. Now in Seattle, he has lots of time to devote to RunawayBike.com

Bob is a software developer in Seattle. A family biker and the resident chemist dedicated to sourcing the best formulations for our bike maintenance products.

Make sure to bid high on the generous donation that they have made to the Bike and Pike auction. Remember...it's all for Foodlifeline.

Food Lifeline
will benefit greatly from your donations (and auction purchases) at the 2018 Bike and Pike Expo. In the past 7 years combined attendees helped us raise enough money for over 115,000 meals to be distributed to local area food banks. We hope to raise a record number this year.

Now, just incase you haven't heard,

we're having an Online Silent Auction;-)

100% of the money raised will be given directly to Food Lifeline.

All in all, February 24th will be a fun gathering of locally owned Seattle businesses showcasing some real (and really unique!) products and services made nearby. We're happy to be a part of the Northwest, and proud that the proceeds of this event will stay right here in the Northwest through Food Lifeline.

Come and join us for great Seattle bicycles, beer, coffee, corn dogs, and conversation for an event that will benefit all Seattle!
